Welcome guests with a sunset cocktail reception or allow us to arrange for a day at our Spa or a round of golf at our acclaimed Talking Rock Golf Course. Treat your guests to a day of canoeing on Little Shuswap Lake, authentic Aboriginal cultural activities, or a marshmallow roast under the stars.
Our iconic Amphitheatre with hand carved log bench seating is a sought-out location for wedding ceremonies. Perched upon a grassy ledge overlooking the Little Shuswap lake, framed by the mountains in the distance and the most whimsical and romantic giant weeping willow tree—this backdrop is a perfect balance of natural beauty.
Our beach is the perfect setting for ceremonies, photos, special events, or for some pre and post wedding rest and relaxation. The resort is west facing as is our beach allowing for sun filled days by the water and breath-taking fireside sunsets in the evening. It’s rare to find a resort with a private soft sandy beach so close to the main building. Wedding on the beach or bonfire beach party; your unique experience awaits you.
The Open Air Pit House
Beautiful rustic wooden beams situated amidst our gardens and sprawling expanse of green lawn – our Open Air Pit House is the outdoor centerpiece of the resort, and a favourite for weddings. Built with four posts and beams in a semicircular design, The Open Air Pit House was designed with traditional significance to resemble the historical winter home of the local Little Shuswap First Nations building.
Set near our Open Air Pit House and beautiful gardens, the Gazebo provides the ideal location for a post ceremony cocktail hour – later in the evening it doubles as a wonderfully unique dance floor for outdoor weddings. The covered roof offers protection from outdoor elements and when lit up, offers a warm and inviting space for celebrating with loved ones. With full electric capabilities and a portable bar, the Gazebo is the perfect location for any special event.
The Ballroom is comprised of the unique, gently curved Grouse room along with the beautiful architecture of the circular Chief’s room. With its 50 ft sloped ceiling and exposed wood beams, the Chief’s room is a commanding space which hosts the head table and the dance floor. Weddings have opted to transform the Ballroom into a wonderland of decorative drapery or embrace the uniqueness of the wood beams. If you decide to have your event in one of our outdoor settings, we will hold the Ballroom should you decide to move inside.
